Pupil Premium Funding

Pupil Premium funding was introduced by the Government in order to address the attainment gap between vulnerable pupils and others. The money is sent to school based on the number of pupils in school who are eligible for free school meals(FSM), are in care (CLA) or, from 2012, whose parents are in the Armed Forces. From 2012-2013, this has been expanded to include children who have been eligible for free school in the last 6 years. This money is allocated to initiatives to ensure pupils reach their full potential, both academically and socially.

For more information on Pupil Premium visit www.gov.uk.

The money helps to fund key initiatives which prioritise support for some of the additional needs of pupil premium children.
